  • KODA architects have been appointed alongside Tomkins Thomas Planning to submit an application converting The Shires, a former nursing home, to spacious apartments. The building occupies a prominent location on Aylestone Hill capturing views of the Herefordshire countryside. We were appointed on our track record of creative re-use of existing buildings to maximise its potential whilst respecting their unique characteristics and features. Our designs include the replacement of former extensions with verdant copper clad extensions contrasting with the host building.
